We built openonyoutu.be to make sharing easier, with as little data as possible.

Creating a link

The link generator processes your input in your browser. It does not send that input to a database or YouTube API. We don’t ask for an email address, a password, or access to your YouTube account. Copying uses your device’s clipboard, sharing uses your device’s share feature, and QR codes are generated locally in your browser.

Visiting a link

When someone opens a shareable link, the YouTube destination is part of the public URL. Our server reads that path to display the page. A link is not private: anyone who has it can see where it leads. The page reads the browser’s user-agent information locally to offer the appropriate app-opening option and instructions.

Cookies and tracking

The application does not set advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Fonts and other page assets are served by the site. A language preference cookie may be stored so the site can remember Uzbek or English. When you create a link or someone opens one, we record the public destination path, the event type (create or open), and a timestamp so we can count usage. We do not ask for names or email addresses. Our hosting provider may also process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and timestamps, to deliver and protect the service.

When you open YouTube

Choosing a YouTube link takes you to a service operated by Google. Your interaction there is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive your YouTube sign-in status, subscriptions, likes, or watch history.
