openonyoutu.be gives your audience a simple page with a clear invitation to open YouTube. Enter your YouTube username or a YouTube URL, copy the new link, and put it in your bio, story, message, or website.

There’s no account to manage and nothing to install to create a link. Usernames, videos, Shorts, live videos, playlists, and legacy channel links are supported.

What a link can do

On Android, the button requests the YouTube app using an app intent with a web fallback. On iPhone and iPad, it uses YouTube’s HTTPS app links, with a direct app-link option in the help section. Desktop visitors can open YouTube on the web or scan a QR code with their phone.

App opening depends on the device, the installed YouTube app, browser behavior, and the viewer’s settings. Some in-app browsers require an extra step. We provide instructions and a web fallback; we can’t bypass those restrictions or sign viewers into YouTube.

Simple by design

Free links point directly to the public YouTube destination encoded in their address. They are not reserved names. If your YouTube username changes, create a new link and update your bio. A paid short name is different: the first buyer keeps that short address.
